Hillary Acosta

Registered Physiotherapist

Hillary graduated from the University of British Columbia in the year 2000 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy.  She stared off working at Surrey Memorial Hospital in many areas but mainly in the departments of Rehabilitation and Outpatients treating individuals with both orthopedic and neurological impairments. Hillary discovered a love for rehabilitation so she started working at G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Center where she stayed for 7 years and gained invaluable experience working with other knowledgeable professionals and clients who were dealing with a wide variety of neurological and complex orthopaedic conditions.  She has completed various post-graduate courses in the areas of neurological rehabilitation (Bobath 3 week course and Bobath for incomplete spinal cord injury), vestibular rehabilitation and orthopaedic manual therapy.  Hillary is a firm believer in the combination of individualized exercise, motivation, hands-on manual therapy and facilitation to help guide a person into reaching his or her full potential.

Before starting at NeuroMotion Victoria, Hillary spent 2 years living in Mexico with her family enjoying the beaches, exploring ecological and archeological sites and learning to speak Spanish.
