Our Physiotherapists and Kinesiologists come from all sorts of backgrounds, interests, and hobbies! What unites them is their commitment to care and a drive to build community at Neuromotion.
Lynn obtained her Masters of Physical Therapy from UBC, after completing her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University in Halifax. Coming from an athletic background, Lynn has always been fascinated with the human body and the physical and psychological benefits of movement. She also completed her 500hr Yoga Instructor Certification in India in 2010, and enjoys incorporating elements of yoga into her physiotherapy practice. More recently, Lynn participated in an Adapted Yoga training to learn ways to help make yoga more accessible for a neurological population.
Post-graduation, Lynn has furthered her education through both neurological and orthopaedic courses. She recently took an NDT course to learn manual therapy techniques in the lower extremity for the adult neurological population. She has also completed her Level 2 Manual Therapy Lower Quadrant certification under the Canadian Orthopaedic Division as well as her Level 1 Lyn Watson Shoulder course. Lynn has also taken a couple courses on management techniques for chronic pain and is interested in taking further training in both neuro and orthopaedics.
Outside of the clinic, Lynn enjoys running, yoga, and playing basketball, as well as being active in the outdoors hiking, kayaking and skiing.
